Is this right for me?
I have a small number of moles, but I want to quickly check out a new or suspicious spot. Plus, I'd like the reassurance of a dermatologist diagnosis.
I have a small number of moles, but I want the peace of mind that my skin is healthy. Plus, I want a full body record of my skin to use at my next professional or DIY skin check.
I have a high number of moles, previous sun damage or a family/personal history of skin cancer. I want a baseline of images to track and monitor changes in my skin over time.
A thorough head-to-toe skin check

Our experienced melanographer performs a thorough skin check from your scalp to the soles of your feet (and even between your toes). This means no spot goes unchecked.
Total body photography

A high-resolution digital camera is used to capture 24-28 images of your skin, from head to toe. These images act as a reference to track, compare and monitor new and existing moles over time. This means any changes are spotted quickly.
Dermoscopic  imaging and mole plotting of high-risk

A non-invasive, safe, and painless way to closely ‘check out’ suspicious lesions with modern technology. This allows us to see signs of cancer before it’s visible to the naked eye, assisting with early and accurate diagnosis. It also means fewer scares (and scars), as it reduces unnecessary biopsies and removals of benign moles — just in case!

Your dermoscopic images are securely shared with an accredited dermatologist for their expert diagnosis. This means an accurate diagnosis without the delay of referral.

Your questions answered

How is MoleMap different from other skin check clinics?

Plus Iconminus Icon

For more than 25 years, MoleMap’s proven skin mapping and mole monitoring program has been detecting skin cancers earlier and with greater accuracy than visual checks. This is what sets our skin cancer clinics apart. Our unrivalled experience and world-first early detection system gives you and your patient the reassurance that either they don’t have skin cancer or that it has been found early enough to be treated.

When you refer a patient to MoleMap you have the added reassurance that we don’t just check. We double check. First, one of our skilled melanographers perform a detailed skin check using dermascopic imaging. Next, images of any ‘at risk’ moles are sent for dermatologist assessment and diagnosis. That’s two sets of expert eyes and complete peace of mind for your patient.

What’s the difference between a Full Body MoleMap and a SkinCheck?

Plus Iconminus Icon

Full Body MoleMap is the most comprehensive skin assessment service we deliver at our cancer skin clinics. It includes:

  • Head-to-toe skin and mole check by a highly-trained melanographer
  • Total body photography to map, track and compare new and existing moles
  • Under the skin imaging to see signs of cancer invisible to the naked eye
  • Dermatologist assessment and report of suspicious or high-risk moles
  • Proactive dermoscopic imaging of moles that ‘may be’ at risk of change
  • Unlimited free spot checks for 12 months for total peace of mind

Our SkinCheck service is intended for people who are at low risk of skin cancer but have noticed a new mole or changing mole and want a quick and accurate diagnosis. It includes:

  • A thorough head-to-toe skin check by a skilled melanographer
  • Under the skin imaging of suspicious moles to detect cancer early
  • Dermatologist diagnosis of suspicious or high-risk moles
  • A full dermatologist’s report

Unlike our Full Body MoleMap service, it does not include proactive monitoring of ‘at risk’ moles or unlimited free spot checks for 12 months.

How and when do patients receive their report

Plus Iconminus Icon

Reports are usually sent out within a week of the patient’s appointment. Your patient will receive an email advising them to login to their personal My MoleMap online portal. Here, they can view the clinical report, including the dermatologist’s comments and recommendations, see their images and give permission for other people (like their GP) to access their images. As their referring GP, you will also be emailed a copy of the report.
