“At my annual full body skin exam, the melanographer found a small pin-sized spot on my ear and recommended I have it examined further. It turned out to be cancerous. If it wasn’t for MoleMap, it would have gone unnoticed.”

Your questions, answered

How much is a skin check in St Leonards?

The cost of a skin check at St Leonards mole check clinic will depend on the type of service you choose. Our most detailed and thorough skin assessment is our Full Body MoleMap. This includes full body imaging and ongoing, proactive skin monitoring. It is recommended for anyone with a medium to high risk of getting melanoma. For people at low risk or who have spotted a new or changing mole, we suggest having a SkinCheck (there's the option to have it with or without total body imaging). For more information on the pricing and what's included, visit our SkinCheck or Full Body MoleMap pages. Don’t know your skin cancer risk? Take our quick risk quiz to find out.

What are the signs of melanoma?

Knowing the ABCDE + EFG rules can help you to understand the most common symptoms of melanoma to watch out for.

  • Asymmetrical in shape
  • Borders are irregular
  • Colours are uneven or unusual
  • Diameter is growing
  • Evolving shape
  • + Elevated
  • Firm to touch
  • Growth is rapid

It’s important to remember that melanoma can present differently from other skin cancers. This is why it’s essential to have regular full body skin checks with a skin cancer detection specialist. It’s also a good idea to do regular at-home skin checks and seek advice if you notice any changes.
