GPs and specialists can refer their patients to Molemap by Dermatologists for our services.
These include: a Spot Check (15 mins), Skin Check (30 mins), Full Body MoleMap (60 mins) or Total Body Photography.
Fax requests to 1800 665 332 or call us on 1800 665 362 for printed request forms or other free patient materials. Patients can self-refer to our services.
High risk patients
Many GPs and dermatologists choose to refer their high risk patients to us for melanoma surveillance and diagnosis. Such patients have:
- A personal or family history of melanoma
- 50 or more moles
- 15 or more atypical moles
- A history of sunbed/solarium use
Our clinical team
At Molemap by Dermatologists all patients are seen by a registered nurse melanographer who is specially trained to identify and image lesions showing features of skin cancer.
After the appointment the melanographer securely sends the images to our dermatologists – via telemedicine – for review and diagnosis.
Within 10 days of the appointment the dermatologist report is ready and we notify the patient.
The patient can login to the portal to access their comprehensive report which includes images and recommendations for treatment. If the patient provides you with consent, you can also access the report and images via the portal.
To remain impartial, Molemap by Dermatologists doesn’t provide treatment. The patient will see their GP or specialist for treatment options.
Our database and case studies
Doctors can register for the below services:
- Our Molemap Connect online patient database allows doctors to view lesion images and dermatologist diagnoses to support you in the management of your patient’s skin.
- Molemap Case Studies provide information on subjects including dermoscopy, melanoma diagnosis and melanoma surveillance imaging.
