At Molemap we use the most advanced technology in the world to accurately detect and diagnose early stage melanoma and skin cancer.
A Full Body Molemap includes Total Body Photography. This creates a complete medical record of your skin surface and each individual mole. This baseline is referred to at your follow-up appointments to identify and changes early.
The registered nurse melanographer will conduct a thorough examination of your skin using a handheld dermatoscope to assess any suspicious moles and to view the intricate structures of the lesions.
Using our specially designed MoleMap camera the registered nurse melanographer will take dermoscopic images of the internal structure of your moles – which cannot be seen with the naked eye. The melanographer will also take high resolution clinical images that show the external structure of your moles.
Patient skin health education is an important part of our service. Your appointment includes self-examination and sun protection education to stay sun safe.
All of your imaged moles are securely sent by our melanographers via telemedicine to our dermatologists for diagnosis. Booking an appointment with Molemap gives you quick access to an expert dermatologist diagnosis.
Our dermatologists will prepare a comprehensive diagnostic report for you and your designated GP or specialist. The report will be available up to 10 days after your appointment via our patient portal called My Molemap. We will let you know when it’s ready. Your report will include your imaged moles, comments and any recommendations for treatment and follow up.
